Though the insurance agency cannot give you the happiness and memories of reception but it can certainly pay off the monetary damages. Various things are covered under the wedding insurance, including the key people who will attend your wedding, gowns, rings, gifts and even the weather. It might be really surprising for many but the event insurance includes all such unforeseen events that force you to cancel the ceremony. Some of the listed down situations include, devastation of the church due to a tornado or any other calamity, if the photographer does not show up, if the bridal dress is destroyed or is not received on time from the boutique. In these situations, you will certainly face huge monetary loss as flowers and cakes would have been bought in advance while the ceremony has to be cancelled. In case the caterer does not show up on the wedding day, the insurance agency will cover the cost of changing the wedding date. Other factors like illness or injury to the bride, groom or any other key member too will be covered under wedding insurance. In case, the wedding pictures or the video is ruined by the photographer, the entire cost will be reimbursed by the insurance firm. If you wish to reschedule the wedding, the arrangements will be taken care of by the company. The special event insurance firm will cover the cost of damages in case your gown or tuxedo is damaged beyond repair before the wedding. If you wish, you can get the replacements and the insurance firm will pay for it. Whether the wedding gifts are damaged or stolen, the insurance company will cover your loss. The average cost of the wedding insurance is just a few hundred dollars. It is extremely lower than the actual cost of the wedding which may go up to thousands of dollars. By simply buying the insurance, you can easily minimize the amount of damages that you can face in case of an untoward incident. At present there are many insurance firms that are offering lucrative coverage to their clients. There is absolutely no harm in getting the insurance that will save your money and contribute towards making your wedding ceremony a grand success. The months before your wedding can be really stressful. To minimize the tension, hire an insurance company without any delay.

Since its conception, photography has been one of the most popular ways
to record events, people, and historical moments. With the
creation of digital technology capturing special events in photos
became much easier without the expense of film and developing.
There have been some photographers, both amateur and professional, who
have noticed that certain important elements that can be found in
traditional photographs are missing in digital ones. Of course
every digital photographer in Chicago, New York, or anywhere can learn the
loopholes to digital photography to get film quality images every time.

Wedding photography is an evolving field that requires artistic talent, vision, and highly technical expertise. In the past wedding photography was almost always limited to stiff posses without much regard for the underlying story, emotion, romance, and behind the scene events of the wedding day.Although there is still a big segment of the wedding industry that practices traditional photography with its preplanned poses, and recreation of the wedding peak events such as the kiss, the ring exchange, etc., the modern wedding couple demands a more contemporary approach to their wedding day.Wedding photojournalism has been in vogue for the past decade. The central idea behind it has been the capture of the wedding events without any interference or direction from the wedding photographer. The photographer is there to capture the true essence of the wedding day. As a result of this realistic approach the photographs are a true representation of the wedding day. Hard core wedding journalistic will be totally opposed to posing any wedding related event. If it doesn't not happen during the wedding it won't be recorded. This includes family group photos.Several photographers offer a hybrid approach to wedding photography, usually a combination of traditional and journalistic wedding photography. In this approach the photographer focuses on documenting the wedding day but the coverage also includes a session with the couple for formal posed or semi-posed photographs and also family group photos. The latest trend in wedding photography is toward a more fashionable approach. Inspired on high-end fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, GQ, American Photo, etc., and wedding magazines the photographer seeks to make the couple's fantasies real.
In the fashion wedding photography approach the goal is to make the wedding couple look their best. Their romantic interplay is glamorized to its maximum expression. The everyday couple becomes like wedding celebrities. Attention to detail is required to achieve the perfect look. This approach requires a great deal of artistic talent behind the camera and also great computer image editing skill to produce a unique photo. Half the photo is made on the camera with the second half achieved though digital image editing and manipulation.Which style is best, is for you to decide. In our experience a big segment of the wedding couples want to capture the reality, details and romance of the wedding day but at the same time they have fantasies about their wedding and the way they should look.

Setting up solid business processes and practices is just as important for your wedding photography business as taking good shots. This article will look at two key issues that need to be addressed before the day of the wedding. One relates to agreeing and signing off with your client a wedding photography contract. The other is discussing and agreeing a wedding photography checklist, so a list of must have photographs that are required on the day.Wedding Photography Contract Issues1. A signed contract holds far more legal weight than sending your clients a set of your terms and conditions, let alone agreeing something verbally but not in writing. It also backs up any discussion you've had with your client or potential client and reduces the chance of miscommunication or misunderstandings which might otherwise damage your relationship with them.2. Details not only the price of the wedding service you are going to provide, but also the nature of the service e.g. which wedding package has been chosen, what it includes, start and finish times, locations, whether an engagement shoot is included and so on.3. Detail what would happen if you cannot attend, the total liability of each party - normally no greater than the total price of the package - and importantly what will happen if the client cancels or postpones the wedding.4. Specifics around transport costs may also be useful to put down in writing here, either for the wedding or the engagement shoot. If the latter only take place on certain days of the week, say so. Even if you mention if verbally on booking, often the couple will have forgotten 6 months or a year down the line when your ring to sort out a date and time. Again, having the contract in place takes away any doubt.5. Finally, make sure you hold on to the copyright for your images, and state this in the contract. It is also important to include a clause that states that you have the right to use any of the images to promote or otherwise market your work. That way, you don't have to get permission to use the photographs for advertising your services further down the line.Wedding Photography Checklist Issues1. Always get a list of the key group photographs your clients would like, and make sure you have this at least a few weeks before the wedding so you can discuss it with the bride and groom and understand exactly who is who. Suggest no more than 10-12 groups normally as this ensures this session will not last overlong. That way, family and guests enjoy it which is reflected in great photos.

Those new to this idea can be taken by surprise, and may even feel a little uncomfortable at the prospect of running a business where their photography is now a product that needs to be sold. However, no one can run a successful photography studio in the long term if they persist with the idea of being primarily a photographer, while ignoring the necessary business aspects.Professional Photography Is Fun, But It's No GameDespite the serious nature of the photography business, being a professional photographer can be a lot of fun, highly rewarding, and deeply satisfying in the creative sense. Unfortunately, too many new pro photographers treat their business like an easy game, which is the fastest path to a business meltdown and ultimate failure. But how can an amateur photographer who does take this seriously actually make the leap to becoming a professional photographer?Start With An InventoryThe first thing to do is to take a complete inventory of everything the photographer already has that can be used for the business:

Cameras and lenses (both primary and backup).
Lighting equipment (indoor studio and portable lighting).
Backdrops, props, and stands.
Miscellaneous photographic and studio gear.
Computing equipment, software and hardware.
Office equipment and necessary supplies (for example, printers and ink).
Physical studio space (rented or at home).

Wedding photographs can be considered by many as one of the most expensive parts of the wedding. While the actual costs may vary somewhat between different photographers, it is important to keep in mind that having a bad photographer can actually destroy the wedding. The photographer is important because it is their job to capture the wedding forever and they have to know how to do their job good. When you have a good photographer, the entire wedding can be frozen in time and available to you to look back for the rest of your lives.Keep in mind though, that while there are average wedding photography prices, you should not forgo price for quality. The photographer is an artist, the artist for your wedding and it is their job to capture it. Make sure that when you choose one, you take the time to ensure that they will give you nothing less than the best shots they can manage. The cost for any average wedding photography prices can set you back around $2,000 but it can go up as well as down from there depending on the experience of the independent photographer. When you go in to speak to the photographer, you will be presented with a number of packages depending on what your needs are. These range in the number of pictures as well as the size of the developed photos. Furthermore some photos may also be available in different styles such as a canvas reprint of the original. What ever your choice is, make sure that you take the time to ensure that it is a good one or you could be regretting it for many anniversaries to come.

Brides and Grooms are 'Spoilt for choice' when it comes to selecting a perfect location for their Engagement Portrait! We have some of the most fabulous natural and man made beauty in the world here in the Bay. From the sweeping views of downtown San Francisco to the lush vineyards of Sonoma and Napa, the San Francisco Bay Area delivers a world class package when it comes to Wedding and Engagement Photography. One of the benefits of being a San Francisco Wedding Photographer, is that I get to photograph couples in a variety of locations with breathtaking natural beauty. I thought that this would be a good place to give you my take on all this, so here we go!You're Engaged!Once you're engaged, one of the things on your to-do list will probably be the hunt for a fabulous Wedding Photographer. One of the best, most exciting parts of Wedding Photography is shooting an Engagement Portrait! Its so much fun for the couple and the Wedding Photographer to spend an afternoon together in a relaxed atmosphere with no pressure or time constraint. One of the biggest benefits of having an engagement portrait is that it gives you the chance to get to know your Wedding Photographer - most couples that have taken an Engagement Portrait are more relaxed when taking photos on their Wedding Day as they already know how their photographer works and they feel more at ease. It's tough having your picture taken by someone you have never met! Most of the great Wedding Photographers I know typically include an Engagement Session as part of their Wedding Packages. So, you're Engaged AND you've found that fabulous Wedding Photographer - but how to and where to take photos?! In my experience, i'ts important to head for locations that are meaningful to you, places that stir emotion and feeling between the two of you - maybe the site of that first stroll along the beach, or a first kiss, the proposal, the spot that 'I love you' was first uttered or a favorite place that you both go to be alone with each other. There are so many special places to take your engagement portrait! Here are a few of my favorites....Golden Gate Bridge from Baker BeachSome of the most spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen from Baker Beach. It's like a postcard, the Marin Headlands visible to the east coupled with the rugged cliffs of Baker Beach, clean sands and the crystal blue and green Pacific Ocean surf. I love shooting here.Golden Gate Bridge from Crissy FieldPhotographing your Engagement Portrait from Crissy Field gives a different perspective from that of Baker Beach. Crissy Field is Bay side, south of the Golden Gate and offers sensational views of Marin County and some San Francisco landmarks, including the Palace of Fine Arts.

How do you deal with a stiff bride and groom when it comes to the portrait time?Well, I have a few tricks up my sleeve, but they all boil down to the same thing: familiarize yourself with the people you're photographing and do whatever you can to get them to relax, to know that this isn't serious time, this is a time to let loose and be themselves. Here are a few things you can do...1. Most weddings go on in the summer, so if you see that your bride is perspiring a bit, tell the groom to kiss her forehead. He'll make a face, and they'll usually get a laugh out of this. Be prepared to snap a picture of them laughing!2. Have the groom nuzzle the bride's neck from behind. This will tickle, causing her to laugh. The groom will usually laugh along with her. Once again, what you are looking to snap is not the pose, but the reactions of the couple to the pose.3. Have the couple standing facing each other, get them to close their eyes, and ask them to kiss each other. They can't see, so they'll probably miss. Maybe they'll drop a kiss on the nose, maybe they'll kiss an eyelid. Invariably, they'll start laughing. Be sure not to miss the moment.4. If all these fail, switch to "romance" mode instead of "laughter", and have them get into more intimate positions, such as the bride putting her arms around the groom's neck and the groom's arms around her waist. Another bonus pose you can move into from here is to ask the groom to kiss her on the cheek and ask the bride to not let him do it. This is pretty much a guaranteed way to get them to laugh.5. Moving back into the romance mode, 9 times out of 10, the bride is the more photogenic of the two. Put your focus on her eyes, have him kiss her on her cheek or her neck or shoulder while she looks into the camera. Move around them so that you're behind the groom, and have them embrace and take a picture of the bride's expression.6. A great set up that you should always do is "the walk". Have the bride and groom stroll away from you. At this point you can snap away freely as they will probably be holding hands and just relaxing with each other. When they're far enough, tell them to stop and walk back towards you. Snap away again. The rule of thumb is to get your clients to be as relaxed as they can be, and part of how you do this is to behave in a warm, friendly manner. Remember to praise them, even if the shots don't look good. You want to make them feel good, like the camera loves them. Don't make faces when you look at the pictures on the view finder, don't ever let them know that a pose isn't working. Tell them, "That's great! Now let's try a new pose..."

Lets face it, choosing a photographer for any situation can be daunting, and when you are talking about intimate boudoir photographs, its even more important you find a talented photographer you trust. Here are some tips of what to look for, and ask, when you are searching for a photographer for bridal boudoir portraits.1. Meet with the photographer for a consult. The most likely place to start looking is with a photographer you are booked with or considering for your actual wedding photographs. Bridal boudoir is something of a trend currently, and wedding photographers are most likely used to the inquiries, or may even have someone to recommend if they don't offer the service. All boudoir photographers worth your consideration should be willing to meet with you to talk about your session. During that meeting, you should discuss portfolio's, ideas, boundaries, and any other questions or insecurities you may have. A true professional's answers and demeanor should put you at complete ease during the consult. Having a photographer that has gained your trust to create stunning images of you is important.2. Consider location. There are many different style's and types of boudoir photography. Looks can range from grunge or edgy styles, to high fashion, pin up, and even glamorous movie style feathers and pearls. The location where your shoot will take place should be in line with the style you and your photographer choose to go after. Regardless of the style, the location of your shoot should be a private place you are completely comfortable with. Most professional boudoir photographers will have private locations available, be it a brick and mortar studio space, fancy hotel, bed and breakfast, or a private location outdoors.3. View their portfolio. Most established photographers will have a lot of images they can show you from other boudoir shoots. Boudoir is in style currently, and many photographers are offering boudoir sessions with less experience than desired. Making you look your best in a sexy and tasteful way takes a skill set somewhat different than that of a portrait or wedding photographer. That is NOT to say a wedding or portrait photographer cannot also be an incredible and accomplished boudoir photographer. The point is it takes time, effort, and practice to add the camera, lighting, and retouching skills to shoot boudoir at a high level. A large portfolio with many different clients or models shows you their effort and dedication at learning their craft.4. Don't just shop on price. We all have a budget and you have to choose a photographer who fits within that budget, but choosing a boudoir photographer on price alone more often than not will leave you wanting. Make sure you ask the questions about session fees AND print prices to make sure you are comfortable with all the prices before you book your session. An accomplished boudoir photographer who checks all the boxes above will most likely be in demand with many clients and a busy schedule. Their services will not be the cheapest that you will find, and for good reason. Their expertise, time, and attention to detail has real value and worth. Its important that you find a boudoir photographer who is first and foremost a skilled professional, and then make sure their prices fit your budget.
